Privacy Policy
Your entries stay on your iPhone. dotdot does not collect any data about you.
Applies to dotdot for iOS · Effective 25 September 2026
There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no ads. The app has no servers and makes no network requests of its own. What you write, the colors and stickers you choose, and your settings are stored on your device and are never sent to us.
What we collect
Nothing. dotdot does not transmit your entries, usage data, device identifiers, diagnostics, or crash reports to us. It contains no third-party SDKs. We cannot see what you write, when you open the app, or whether you use it at all.
Because no data reaches us, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or hand over.
Your entries
Notes, times, colors, stickers, book and movie titles, ratings, and travel destinations are saved in the app's storage on your iPhone. The dotdot widgets and the Shortcuts wallpaper action read that same storage on the same device.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your iPhone to a computer, Apple includes this storage in that backup, as it does for other apps. That backup is handled by Apple under your Apple Account; we have no access to it. Deleting the app deletes your entries from the device.
Permissions
Photos — add only. When you tap Save to Photos on the Lock Screen Wallpaper screen, dotdot asks for permission to add one image to your library. It cannot see, read, or change your existing photos. You can turn this off at any time in iOS Settings.
dotdot asks for no other permissions: no location, contacts, camera, microphone, calendar, health data, or notifications.
Purchases
dotdot Pro is a single purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details, and we do not receive your name, email address, or Apple Account identifier. Whether Pro is unlocked is remembered on your device; restoring it on another device is done by Apple and involves no server of ours.
Children
dotdot collects no data from anyone, including children. It contains no advertising, no chat, and nothing you write is shared with other people.
Your rights
Privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to retrieve or erase. Your entries can be edited or deleted inside the app at any time. If you would like written confirmation that we hold no data about you, write to us.
Changes
If a future version changes what the app does with data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change. We will not make a version that collects data quietly.
